EU Directive Compliance
The EU Directives and UK Public Contracts Regulations require that contracts above specified monetary thresholds are procured in accordance with specified regulations. The thresholds are set by the EU Council every two years, and vary between Supplies, Services and Works contracts. These categories are defined in Schedules 2 (for Works) and Schedule 3 (for Services) of the regulations. Anything not falling within Schedules 2 and 3 are regarded as Supplies.
The current UK currency thresholds applicable until 1 January 2012 are set out on the OGC’s web site and in the table below.
