Building Insulation (N6)
The Building Insulation & Associated Services (N6) framework arrangement is designed to help LHC customers carry out energy efficiency improvements through insulation of the fabric of the building including:
- Loft insulation
- Roof insulation
- Cavity wall insulation
- External wall insulation
- Internal wall insulation
- Floor insulation
- Pipe work insulation
- Duct work insulation
- Draft proofing
Companies appointed to the framework arrangement offer:
- OJEU compliant for pre-tendered frameworks.
- Pre-tendered competitive prices.
- Access to utility funding for insulation projects where available.
- A prompt and detailed specification and quote service.
- Provision of a planning supervisor and principle contractor under the Construction Design Management (CDM) regulations.
- Guarantees for insulation work through the Cavity Insulation Guarantee Agency (GIGA)
- CFC and HCFC free materials used by contractors.
- Where possible, insulation materials have zero Global Warming Potential (GWP) and Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP).
Selection Criteria
The Offer Documents submitted by the applicants were evaluated using the following award criteria weighting:
45% = Technical Capability & Quality
40% = Pricing
10% = Project Management
5% = Health & Safety Practices & Skills
