The Flat Roofing (FR1) framework arrangement provides a full range of specialist flat roofing installation works for refurbishment and new build works including:
Built Up Flat Roofing Systems
Mastic Asphalt Roofing Systems
Liquid Roofing Systems
Single Ply Roofing Systems
Balcony and Walkways Liquid Waterproffing Systems
Associated Building Works
as well as other varients of flat roofing systems that can be carried out under this framework arrangement.
Through specialist roofing contractors appointed on a regional basis, FR1 offers users:
an extensive range of roofing systems and balcony waterproofing for refurbishment and new build schemes with 15 to 30 year BBA durability options
a one-stop-shop solution for all types of public sector buildings including social housing, schools, offices car parks and walkways
a free initial advisory consultation service with condition reports, recommendations and written specifications
technical and design advice that includes complete roof renewals and alternative overlay solutions to keep costs down, life expectancy, fire protection and performance, wind uplift, drainage and falls and u-value performance.
FR1 is currently available in England and Wales and will be available in Scotland later in 2011.

Selection Criteria
The offer documents submitted by the applicants were evaluated using the following award criteria weighting:
50% = Pricing
25% = Quality Assessment - Construction Phase
25% = Structured Interview- Post Completion of a Project
