The UK Government has committed the public sector to playing a key role in furthering sustainable development so that by 2009, the UK is recognised as amongst the leaders in sustainable procurement across EU member states.
LHC has fully embraced the Government's drive towards sustainable development and established an alliance with One Planet Products, to take the lead, shift the market and stimulate higher sustainable standards for all LHC Network's appointed companies.
By working together, LHC aims to present Sustainability as a core component in our service offer, as one of the key drivers of procurement in the public sector, along with Quality, Efficiency and Compliancy.
One Planet Products identifies potential suppliers of sustainable products and undertakes a green assessment of both the products and the company, using a panel of industry experts. Those that successfully complete this process are added to the OPP website.
The Assessment is based on One Planet Products 10 Living Principles, namely: 
LHC and OPP are currently assessing the LHC Network appointed companies in accordance with the 10 principles and will publish the results on this web page.
