Last Chance to Attend LHC Seminar

LHC is urging social landlords to register in time for it’s free half-day Whole House Refurbishment" "Getting More for Less" seminar on 8th February 2012.

The objective of the seminar is to identify how to achieve best value procurement through using framework arrangements, as well as achieving energy efficiencies when improving housing stock.

Headlining the “Whole House Refurbishment – Getting More for Less” seminar at the Emirates, London, will be procurement expert, Glenn Fletcher, Director EU Procurement, Achilles Group, who will explain how you can achieve best value through using procurement framework arrangements for your organisations’ purchasing requirements.
With social landlords focusing on helping residents achieve energy efficiencies when refurbishing properties, the seminar will help to explain how savings can be made through self-funding or taking advantage of Green Deal.  Steve Ives, Department of Energy & Climate Change (DECC) will help identify how you might benefit from Green Deal.
Speakers will also include the Procurement Director of Metropolitan Housing Partnership, Bernard Tominey, who will discuss how one of the UKs largest social landlords has used framework arrangements to achieve significant savings.

LHC will also take the opportunity to showcase its whole house refurbishment one-stop-shop solution through a mini exhibition following the presentations, where LHC appointed companies showcase what they can offer.  A complimentary buffet lunch will also be available. Cont/d…

LHC Director John Skivington said: “LHC recognise that in the current financial climate, social landlords must identify ways to improve housing and provide residents with the benefits of energy efficiency. But this must be procured effectively with fewer resources and without risking a breach of Public Contracts Regulations.
“LHC designed the seminar specifically to help social landlords. We have selected expert and knowledgably independent speakers to discuss best value procurement through using framework arrangements and how to take advantage of Green Deal. We have had a very positive response, but time is of the essence and we would encourage any social landlord to sign up quickly so as not to miss out.”
With just a few places left, the seminar will begin at 10.00 am and end at 1pm. Attendance is free to social landlords. For free registration visit www.lhc.gov.uk/freeseminar.
