Local Employment
There is increasing demand from many local authorities to use local companies in consideration of providing local employment opportunities.
However, there is a trade-off between local employment and customer satisfaction from the quality of the LHC appointed company.
In some areas, local contractors may not come up to the standards expected by LHC as well as not having the necessary experience of working in occupied properties.
LHC will not compromise quality where local contractors are not up to standard, however to meet expectations for local standards, LHC appointed companies can agree targets for locally employed operatives and instigate training programmes to improve skill levels in the area.
The targets can be incorporated into the KPI schedule and the appointed company monitored accordingly.
