What Are Frameworks?
What Are Framework Arrangements?
An LHC framework arrangement is an agreement set up by LHC with suppliers, with the purpose of establishing the terms governing contracts to be awarded during a given period with regards to quality, quantity and price.
LHC framework arrangements have been established in strict accordance with EU Directives and are fully compliant with EU rules and UK regulation. More
Frameworks operate in two ways:
- Where the framework arrangement is sufficiently precise to cover a specific call-off, users can simply choose the supplier who offers the most economical options.
- Where the terms of the framework agreement are not precise enough to cover the specific call-off, a mini competition should be held with all the suppliers. This is simply to allow supplementing or refining of the basic framework terms to reflect specific circumstances.
The nature of LHC framework arrangements and user requirements means that the vast majority take the second option.
By choosing LHC framework arrangements, even the involvement of a mini competition will in most cases help public sector bodies make significant time and cost savings.
Framework Arrangement Selection Criteria
Framework arrangement selection is based on:
- legal standing
