Fire Compliance Collaborative Forum

From: 12/07/2018
To: 12/07/2018
Location: London - venue TBC
Time 09.00am - 13.00

The procurement and building regulation landscape is changing with the industry being forced to review recent building works and fire safety policies and strategies.

Dame Judith Hackitt has stated that the current system is not fit for purpose; ‘Independent Review of Building Regulations and Fire Safety, Building a Safer Future: Final Report’ offers insight on how the systems need to be improved. We have a duty to act now.

Client feedback suggests that we need to share our experiences to draw commonalities with the challenges others in London are facing. We invite you to join this forum to hear our gathered summary on why fire strategy needs to be considered organisation wide and understand supplier competencies and procurement strategies.

During the session you will hear from three key speakers, experts in their field, who will talk about some of the challenges and discuss possible solutions. The forum is a chance to share ideas and address your concerns and requirements to help us all construct robust procurement solutions.

Guest speakers:

Kevin Hughes - Retired Deputy Assistant Commissioner (DAC) from the London Fire Brigade

Ben Bradford - BB7 Consultants’ and author of PAS-7

Dr Jonathan Evans, chair of the technical committee at the Metal Cladding and Roofing Manufacturers Association (MCRMA)

Who should attend? Asset/Capital Managers operating in London, responsible for procurement and technical decision-making.
