LHC will shortly commence the tender process for its new Pitched Roofing framework that is due to be launched this spring worth an estimated £100m over 4 years.
Important information regarding the tender process
LHC would like to hear from contractors and suppliers who might be interested in tendering for the framework that will include the removal of existing roof coverings, the supply and installation of pitched roofing and associated roofing works.
The framework is aimed at helping landlords and owners of public sector buildings, including social housing, schools, and council offices, procure quickly, compliantly and efficiently across England, Wales and Scotland.
The framework has been constructed using two value bands across 20 regional lots, providing an opportunity for smaller, local companies to be appointed. With companies only able to tender for one band, the option designed for works between £5000 and £250,000 will appeal to SME’s, whilst larger companies will be attracted to the band that allows for larger works values.
Each regional lot will consist of up to five companies per band, with appointed companies only permitted to service one value band.
LHC Director, John Skivington commented, “Our members are increasingly looking for a localised solution to service their requirements. This framework has been designed to encourage SME’s by splitting the tender into smaller regional lots and value bands, as well as introducing evaluation criteria aimed at assessing local economic and social sustainability.”
